Vince plays a variety of vintage Gibson and Fender guitars. The history of some of these instruments goes back to Vince’s early days. It started in 1978 when the tremolo arm unit on his Silvertone broke and he was unable to repair the cast block. This led to the purchase of his first Fender Stratocaster for the sum of £90 (a lot of money then) Vince wasted no time in raising the money to purchase the guitar, borrowing £5-10 from his family and bandmates. The guitar he had purchased turned out to be a 1962 which he still plays today. It is still his no 1 strat. He was then able to continue to work with the band he was with and had soon saved enough to buy his first Gibson Les-Paul
